What are products?
Products are often the primary focus when using Mobius. Here, a product is a cradle-to-gate Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) model of the production of your product and includes everything needed to be produced. They are your SKUs, the products you sell, the services you provide, and the value you bring to your customers.
What are objects?
Objects are the items you use when creating your Product Footprints or LCAs. These are the essential building blocks such as materials, intermediate products, energy sources, waste streams, transportation, and other auxiliaries. In Mobius, objects are also called items and subitems. Objects are reusable elements that you can attach to different products multiple times.
The Object Library is a complete collection of all your objects or items. You can imagine it as your toolbox for creating your Product Footprints and LCAs.
What are life cycles?
Life cycles extend beyond product production. They encompass various phases of a product's life, such as usage, transport, distribution, and end-of-life considerations. Analyzing your product's impact from creation to disposal (i.e., "cradle-to-grave") allows you to create a full LCA.
