Find the right references: Rubber

Find the right Life Cycle Inventory references for rubber products, such as synthetic and natural rubber.

Product in database (reference) Explanation
Synthetic rubber
Synthetic rubber EPDM elastomer (ethylene propylene diene monomer). Closely related to ethylene propylene rubber
Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene. Also known as: Nitrile rubber (NBR). Similar to the polymer acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, but without styrene. Similar product, so can be used. The production of both polymers differs, unfortunately (wikipedia). Slightly lower MKI impact than synthetic rubber from ecoinvent. NOT the same as nitrile-compound production (this is a herbicide)
silicone product. Also known as silicon rubber. Average of 2000 silicon products, representative for e.g. organics, silanes, cyclodextrins, silicones, chlorosilanes, silicic acid esters, RTV-1 silicone rubber sealants, hyperpure silicon, vinyl polymers, polydimethylsiloxane, silica
Synthetic rubber. Also known as thermoplastic rubber. Thermoplastic rubber' or thermoplastic elastomers
Natural rubber
Seal, natural rubber Caoutchouc (natural rubber that has not been vulcanized)
