What is the Scenario-Product importer?

This importer for Ecochain Helix allows you to connect your products with scenarios by using an Excel (XLS) importer. This can save you a lot of time if you want to calculate a full life cycle for multiple products or your entire portfolio.

How to add the link with the importer?

Step 1. Go to the scenario page

Go to Input β†’ Use & EoL stage β†’ Products.

Step 2. Export Excel file

Click on the 'export' button to export an Excel file

Step 3. Open the Excel file and edit the document.

The products and scenarios are shown respectively in the first column and the first row to create a (empty) matrix.

In this matrix, it is possible to insert a value in the empty fields. Insert a '1' if you want to link a specific product with a specific scenario. Insert '0' or leave it empty if you don't want to link a specific product to a specific scenario.

In the example below, Product A is linked with Scenarios 1, 2, and 3. Product B is linked with Scenario 3 and Product C is not linked to any scenarios.

Save this Excel file.

Step 4. Import XLS file

Go back to the scenario page and click on the import button.

A pop-up will appear where you can upload the saved scenario Excel file by clicking on 'Select an xls file'. Click on 'Preview changes' to verify.

Step 5. Review the final changes

On the preview page, you can review the changes, and change the XLS file if needed. Click on 'Save' if you agree, and wish to proceed, with the changes.

Your products are now linked with the chosen scenarios!
