How to use templates in Mobius
Here we describe how to add a template to your Mobius workspace and the benefits of using templates. Using templates in Mobius is now easier than ever before!
Find the templates on your workspace home page.
Click the arrow to expand the templates, and scroll through the options.
Once you've found a product template that suits your needs, click the product's tile.
A pop-up will appear with additional information on the template.
Click the 'Use' button to import the template directly to your workspace.
Upon successful import, Mobius will directly take you to the newly imported product.
Template benefits for trial users
If you're getting started with Mobius, and are exploring whether Mobius is a good fit for your company, templates are a great way to speed up the process. Templates can solve two main difficulties for you:
Templates help with understanding the input data needed to create your own product's LCAs.
Templates help guide you with dataset selection, as templated products are pre-modeled and contain commonly used datasets.
Caution - Templates and the free trial: During the trial, users have a limit of 25 ecoinvent datasets. Using templates uses these limited datasets. The counter & limit is cumulative - meaning that you can't delete datasets to replace them with others during the trial.
Note: If you already have certain objects in your workspace, the data from the template might overwrite the existing objects and products.
Template benefits for customers
For regular customers, templates offer a great way to seek inspiration on structuring your own products. Imported templates can always be adjusted to your specific needs - whether you choose to add or remove certain objects from the template or replace certain dataset choices with other datasets that fit your needs better.
